"No one was looking at hime at all."

It's hard to be the only person in a country of which you are not from. To learn a whole new language and customs can be a challenge in its self. Trying to fit in is along the same lines and in the last paragraph in chapter 6 it reads, "The men around him weren't looking at the advertisement on the wall, he knew, they were looking inward. Nor were they regarding him. As he pressed his forehead against the still warm ground, Greg realized that, for the first moment during all his days in Pakistan, no one was looking at him as an outsider. No one was looking at all."

The feeling of fitting in has an accomplished feel to it. The years I've spent in Germany and the time it took to learn the language I can really relate. I, can still remember my first German conversation to a local after all this time. Between Greg's goal of build a school for these people and then living/ praying with them as one of them must be simply incredible. The paragraph goes on to end with "Who knew what other wonders of transformation lay ahead?"
